Relationship Advice: Two Tips for Great Relationships
Relationship Tip 1 I've been blessed with working with thousands of couples over the last 25 years. Out of all those couples, it has been very very rare to see a situation where both people did not have their fingerprints on the mess. In other words, in most cases, both partners have their fingerprints on the mess before them. So the question becomes, even if right now you think your partner is the biggest jerk in the whole world, the question still becomes, what is my part in all this? The value in that question is then you are able to change whatever contribution you are making. And since you cannot change another person (and I bet many of you are exhausted from trying), changing your own contribution is all you can do anyway and is the most powerful thing you can do. 2) Relationship Tip 2 As I drove home from a trip recently, I listened to tapes from the Mark Victor Hansen Mega Book Marketing Seminar in LA. One of the things that Mark Victor Hansen (of Chicken Soup for the Soul fame) and his wife do each year on their anniversary is re-say their vows and get married all over again. Not a bad idea for a great relationship. Especially if you get a honeymoon each year. Visit SecretsofGreatRelationships.com for tips and tools for creating and growing a great relationship.
